Skin type: dry and sensitive
I have been suffering from stretch marks on my arms and thighs ever since I lost weight a few years ago. Due to a very hectic lifestyle, I didn’t really find the time to treat them as they would develop and I wasn’t even aware of the treatments apart from costly laser ones. Ever since I have been on the lookout for stretch mark removal products and to my sadness, none of them actually help. Back to today’s review let’s check out if the Biotique Tissue Firming Body Balm stayed up to the mark ….. Read on…

Product Description:
My Experience:
Packaging:
The packaging of the Botique Firming Tissue Balm is pretty basic. It has a tub packaging which comes with an additional inner lid. Thanks to this lid, the product does not spill out.
Fragrance:
The Biotique Firming Tissue Butter has a really strong fragrance that lingers on until the product has been washed off the skin. It smells heavily like raw cocoa butter mixed with coconut oil. Together it smells like a coconut infused chocolate. I love the fragrance but I feel this can be a problem for beauties with sensitive noses.
Texture, Quality, and Benefits:
The texture and consistency of the body balm are very smooth yet very thick. It’s as thick as any body butter. Although it has such a rich white creamy texture, it gets absorbed into the skin within seconds. The body balm consists of cocoa butter as one of the main ingredients which is what makes this balm stand out.
Cocoa butter is known to deeply penetrate layers into the skin. While purchasing stretch mark products I make sure it always has cocoa butter as an ingredient. Upon application the cream gets absorbed within seconds and leaves no greasiness behind nor does it get onto the clothes. Since this is a body balm, I was of the view that it would stain my light colored clothes, but it doesn’t.
Coming to its effect, I have been using this balm solely for the stretch marks on my arms and its been a month now. I can confidently say that it has appeared to lighten the scars and make it less prominent.
Overall:
I am quite happy with the results that I have got in just one month. Since my stretch marks are 2-3 years old, it’s surprising that a balm helps to reduce the appearance of the scars.
Pros:
- No harmful parabens
- Herbal formulation
- Helps reduce the appearance of stretch marks
- Good absorption onto the skin
- Medium to heavy moisturization
- Does not break out skin
Cons:
- The fragrance is too strong
- Tub packaging
My Rating: 4/5 (-1 Because of the tub packaging)
Will, I Repurchase/Recommend?
Yes, I would be repurchasing this as this has made my stretch marks appear lighter. I am happy with the results. Also, if you want something to firm your skin then do give this a try.
