Hey Everyone,

How are you all doing? It’s been such a long time since I sat down to pen down my thoughts. I have been super busy with a few campaigns on insta and that has made me MIA from my blog. I hope all is well in your life. Anyways, let get started with today’s post. I have been planning to review today’s products for a very long time. I am a big-time hoarder for hyped skincare products lately. Most of them turn out to be exactly like the claims. A few of them doing the rounds all over the net are the sleeping mask range from Laneige. I have been using both the sleeping masks for about 2 months and I am finally ready to share my 2 cents on it. For testing purposes, I decided to buy the travel-sized sleeping masks. I purchased my tubs from Nykaa as I feel they are the only website which sells justly priced products from other countries. Unlike stores like Sephora India and so on, I don’t feel ripped off for wanting to try international brands. Read on to know more.

 Laneige Sleeping Masks Review

Laneige Water Sleeping Mask

Water Sleeping Mask? At first, I was confused with the name that has been given to a mask. Soon I googled what it meant before ordering a small-sized tub of the sleeping mask. These so-called sleeping masks are a huge rave around the world on insta. I’ve also heard that a few VS Models use them in their regime. Sounds too good to be true.

My Experience:-

Since I brought the travel-sized tub, I was expecting to get a miniature product. To my surprise, I found the quantity good enough for the price. While the unhygienic tub packaging bothered me at first, I realized that I have found my product of the year. As soon as you take a whiff of the mask tub, you feel a sense of happiness. I guess it’s the soothing fragrance of the mask. The consistency of the mask is super light on the skin. It feels colder than normal temperature when applied to the skin. I love the fact that you need to apply this mask as a final step in your bedtime routine. This definitely helps me use other products that nourish my skin for my other skin concerns. I having been using the masks 2-3 times a week as suggested on the packaging. I guess using it on a daily basis will be too much of a good thing.

Normally after doing my regular routine, I take a grape-sized gallop of the mask and I apply it all over my face/neck. A little goes a long way with this mask. On application, it feels so good and soothing. It almost feels like an aloe gel but with a thicker milkier consistency. The after effect the next morning is just priceless. Plump, brighter and healthy-looking skin is revealed in just one use.

I can definitely say that my skin feels healthy after using this mask regularly. Also the main part of this mask is formulated without any parabens.

My rating: – 4/5(-1 I really need a spatula with a tub packaging)

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask Berry

Lip sleeping mask? Is it a drug? Is it a cheap way to fall asleep faster? The name of the Lip mask again got me questioning about the product I decided to buy surrounding all the hype around the world.

 Price: – Rs 500 for 8 grams.

Shelf life: – 3 years

Product Claims:-

The Lip Sleeping Mask by Laneige gently melts away dead skin cells from the lips, making the lips feel smooth and elastic. Experience smooth firming lip night care with the new lip sleeping pack. Berry extracts being rich in vitamin C and antioxidants act on dry, rough lips, making them smooth and supple. Laneige’s patented moisture technology puts active ingredients such as hydro-ion mineral water, evening primrose root extract, and hunza apricot extract in the dense beta-glucan moisture film (network). It helps skin absorb the ingredients densely into the skin during 8 hours of sleep.

Features:

– A leave-on lip mask that soothes and moisturizes – Has a softening balm texture that closely adheres to lips – Offers a nutritiously sweet and fragrant blend – Forms a protective film over the lips to lock in moisture – for smoother and more supple lips

How to Use:-

Apply generously and leave on overnight. Gently wipe off remains the next morning.

My Experience:-

Unlike the regular sleeping mask, this lip sleeping mask comes in a smaller tub. While I hate the unhygienic packaging, my love for the product compensates the hate. I wished they gave a spatula for the smaller sized products as well. I hate dipping my bare fingers to get the product out. The lip mask is way different from the sleeping mask. With a thicker and non-drip consistency, this is almost like a normal lip balm but in a bright pink color. However, this mask is completely non-tinted with a strong berry fragrance. I cannot deny that the name ‘sleeping mask’ is just a fancier word for your lip balm. While the effect of the mask on application makes you feel like you have applied wax, the aftereffect is completely true to the product claims. Initially, I started noticing my lips peeling off which had to be wiped off every morning. Later, my lips have never been softer.

I can say without any doubt that this is one of the best products I have used on my lips. Formulated without parabens, this does its job really well for beauties with dry chapped lips like mine. Using this every day has made my matte lipstick application a dream every morning before leaving for work.

My rating: – 5/5 (I love this product irrespective of the tub packaging).

PS:- Products recieved in PR packaging. The opinion is of my own. Thank you for reading. Have a great day 🙂
