Back with another review cum first impressions with Nivea this time. I came across the newly launched range of face washes while browsing through Flipkart and if I am not mistaken, these face washes come in 4 different varieties. I picked up the Nivea Milk Delights face wash in Precious Saffron. The face washes come in variants according to the skin type such as normal, dry, oily and sensitive. Since I have normal to dry skin, I decided to go ahead with one meant for normal skin. I didn’t want to indulge in the other variants as they didn’t look as promising as I thought. I like having the benefits of saffron in my skincare so I decided to go ahead with this one. Although these face washes are a bit on the costlier side, I decided to try them out as soon as I saw. Read on to know how it fared.
Rs165 for 100ml. (Pricey for a standard face wash from a drugstore brand)
Where to buy:-
I saw this face washes on Flipkart(Click Here). Not sure if they are available anywhere else as I can’t seem to find them online.
Presenting New NIVEA Milk Delights Face Wash. With the goodness of Milk proteins and Precious Saffron, specifically for your Normal skin-type, it gives you a healthy-looking skin.
Somehow I have never been able to board the Nivea bandwagon. Apart from the lip balms, none of their products really work for me. I breakout using Nivea and I break out really bad. However, I decided to try out the new Milk Delights face wash as it looked very promising. Also, its just a face wash and my skin have never faced breakouts from using just a face wash.
The Nivea Milk Delights Face Wash comes in a cute teardrop shaped plastic bottle. It reminds me of the Ketchup pichkoo that we get around India. Kudos to the packaging as its more on the travel-friendly side.
Consistency, texture, and fragrance:-
The face wash has a thick creamy consistency that is milk white. It has tiny orange beads in it. The beads are more like the bursting beads from the Nivea purifying face wash. It has a very mild fragrance which smells like any typical Nivea product. Sensitive noses take note of this.
Like I mentioned earlier, the Milk Delights Face Washes come in 4 different variants according to the skin type.
The face being creamy and thick requires little to no water to lather up. I personally love using such face washes as a massage cream prior to using it as a face wash(Do you do the same ? ) So basically this face wash works just well as a massage cream as well as a good lathering face wash. The bursting beads are my favorite though.
In terms of effect, I do notice a healthy glow after I wash my face. The face wash leaves my skin squeaky clean. Although it does not help get rid of waterproof makeup, it does remove mild makeup, dirt, and oil from the skin. I like how it does not dry up my already dry face 😛 I did not notice any reduction in pigmentation as claimed.
Overall I like the effect this face wash leaves on my skin. It could have done better in terms of quantity for the price we are paying. 165 bucks is not a small amount for this face wash. Lastly, this face wash does contain parabens. If you are a paraben-free freak then you can skip this face wash.
