Hey everyone, I am writing this post with a lot of excitement on reaching a 100+ followers. I have already begun the giveaway with an amazing response from fellow bloggers. If you haven’t entered yet click HERE.
On a visit to Sephora a while ago,i picked up some Bobbi Brown lippies which were fantastic(haul HERE). Bobbi Brown is one of my favorite brand and in a year I need to splurge on it to keep me going 😛 . Im sure this happens to everyone.Getting on to today’s review, i will be reviewing Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Color in Rose Blossom.
Price:- $25 for 3.8 grams or Rs 1603.
PS:- I have already dropped this lipstick on the floor due to my over excitement with Bobbi Brown :p
The lipstick that I will review today is a part of Bobbi’s Top 10 and was launched in 2011 – Rich Lip Color Lipstick – they are known to be extremely pigmented, lightweight with creamy texture and have SPF-12.
Product Description:- (from web)
Rich Lip Color – In Bobbi’s own words – “I love this formula because it combines color-saturated coverage with an uber lightweight texture.”
Bright, get-noticed colour. Lightweight, yet intense, Bobbi’s latest formula combines pigments with a clear base to deliver pure, crisp color with just one swipe. Plus, it’s creamy and moisturizing, so lips feel as good as they look. Featured in Real Simple magazine’s “5 Worth-it-splurges” (March 2012) and the Today Show for its long-lasting, non-drying formula as well as wide range of shades that complement all skin tones. These were launched in 12 colours but are now available in 21 colours.
As the website claims, this shade is basically a pink rose.
The packaging is standard Bobbi Brown black – its sleek sturdy plastic packaging. These lipsticks come in a black square tube. The tube is packed in a cardboard box. There is no colour indicator on the packaging except the name written on the bottom. Just like MAC lipsticks, if you have more than one (which is quite possible once you try these!!), it is difficult to locate the shade you need, in your stash.
This shade is a nice bright pink , although it does look darker in the bullet. It has hints of plum in it but altogether it is really on the brighter side.It instantly brightens up the face. From all the shades of pink I swatched while buying this, I think this is the best pink in the range. It will suit mostly all skin tones from light to dusky.
The texture of this lip color seems like a dream come true. It is so smooth and glides effortlessly without any tug or pull. The first glide itself will give you a nice opaque color, although the pigmentation can be built up over more product application.
As long as my lipstick does not settle in fine lines, I consider it to be a great lipstick. This is one of them.
The product is creamy – but not gloopy. Post application, it becomes semi-matte. It is not really hydrating but neither does it dry my lips (and I do have dry lips). On the contrary, it is extremely light-weight, making you forget that you have any lipstick on.
It last for a good 6+ hours and overtime it leaves a pink stain. here are the product swatches for you guys:-
1) In natural light
2) In artificial light
