Hi Guys, What’s been up? A while ago, I received a mini parcel from the brand “The Body Shop”. To my surprise I received the complete “Drops of Light” range. I am a bad person when comes to following up on a CTM routine from a single brand. I tend to use multiple brand products at the same time due to this. But after receiving such a costly range, I decided to stick to the CTM routine for some time. It’s already been 3 weeks and I guess it’s time to review the products one by one. Today I will just start off with the serum from the range after a brief trial of 3 weeks. Read on.

My Take on The Body Shop Drops of Light Brightening Serum:-
To begin with, this is the first time I have used an actual serum for my face. The experience of using it from a brand like ‘The Body Shop’ was completely new as well as effective. The serum comes in a white heavy glass bottle with a dropper which helps dispense the correct amount of product all the time. I really love the consistency and texture of the serum since it feels as good as applying plain water onto the skin. My skin absorbs it almost instantly hence I need to be real quick with the application and massaging it faster than any other product used before. The serum has a faint floral scent which is very soothing. It feels so luxurious using the product. Coming to the claims, I feel this does its job pretty well in terms of brightening my skin. 3 weeks and yes I have had people questioning me about how my skin looked brighter. It also makes the skin supple and plumped looking in the morning after using it at night. Since I use this twice a day, I do not follow it up with the day cream from this range unless I am going out. I feel this serum works best when used alone twice a day. It provides a great moisturizing feature to my patchy dry skin which is why I love it even more. The only problem that I have is the price. It is costly for a decent brightening serum.
Pros:-

  • Does what it claims
  • Brightens skin tone
  • Reduces blemishes slowly
  • No breakouts
  • No parabens
  • Absorbed easily
  • No greasiness
  • Moisturizing
  • mild soothing floral fragrance

Cons:-

  • Costly
  • Availability in India

My Rating :-  4/5(-1 for the cost)
Until next have a day 🙂
